Hello, I'm Emma van Meurs. I'm a photographer based in Swansea. I love the art of storytelling through photography and capturing life's precious moments along the way.
My goal for our sessions is for you to have high quality images you want to share on social media and hang on your wall. I aim to serve my clients with the best planning, location scouting, and lighting to be able to capture photos you will love forever.
Step 1: The Expectation
It all starts with mindset. Coming into your photoshoot eager and excited. Ask the questions so you know anything you need to know about your session prior to showing up. My biggest goal is to find the best location, help assist with what to wear, and give you the tools to succeed in capturing true authentic moments. If you have little ones try not to worry, true candids are always better than a forced smile!
Step 2: The Location
The best time of day for any outdoor session will always be golden hour, the last hour before sunset. The main reason for this is that the sun doesn't cast any harsh shadows across your face and it also has the most perfect golden glow.
I have a list of beautiful outdoor locations we can discuss, alternatively there is something really special about preserving family memories during an in-home session. Indoor sessions are usually best from mid morning on.
Step 3: Photo time
This is the best part, the day of your session! I always send a text the day of checking in and getting you excited for your session. We show up to the location of your choice, twirl, giggle, dance and capture some epic photos. You even get a few next day preview images, so you can post to your heart’s content!

I’ve always had a passion for film and photography. Before iPhones I was the girl with a disposable camera on a night out. I love the art of storytelling and documenting the everyday.
As a mother of two energetic boys, the one thing I have learnt is how quickly time passes, and how important it is to capture the milestones and memories that pass us by.
My aim is to make you feel comfortable to be yourself so we can capture the true essence of you and your family.
